Cherokee Antique Row Merchants' Association
CARMA is Antique Row’s only business association. We organize street-wide events, promote our neighborhood, and generally advocate for the needs of Antique Row businesses. CARMA meets on the 4th Thursday of every month, at 9am at Whisk Bakery. We encourage anyone to attend who has a connection to an Antique Row business. We are trying to build CARMA into a more active, neighborhood-focused organization so there’s lots of room for new ideas and fresh faces.
Cherokee-Lemp Special Business District
The Cherokee-Lemp Special Business District (sometimes referred to as a Special Taxing District) was established in 1996 to collect additional sales tax from businesses on and around Antique Row. This money is spent on community events and improvements. A board of commissioners determines how this additional tax money can best be used to serve our community. The board of commissioners meets on the 1st Thursday of each month at 9am. These meetings are open to the public, but you must be on the agenda to speak.
Cherokee Station Business Association
Not to be confused with CARMA, the Cherokee Station Business Association operates on the western side of Cherokee Street. The CSBA includes over 50 independently owned and operated businesses and organizes many well-attended events including Lo-Fi, Indihop, and the largest Cinco de Mayo festival in St. Louis. The CSBA meets on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at Nebula Coworking.
